Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is an American actor and producer who is best recognized for her roles played on Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and The television series The Mentalist. She graduated with a BA degree in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is a producer and actress working in film, theater as well as television. Her acting career began in the theatre. Then she appeared on various television series, independent films and mainstream films. She came to prominence as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for which she received not just high praise but also many nods and awards. One of them was the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Film. In 1995, she made her acting debut in The Tempest as Ariel. Her credits on stage include the Broadway production of Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. In film, her career will be remembered for films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. In the world of television, her role in ABC's police drama series High Incident has earned her the praise of her fellow actors.
