
Anthony David Gonzalez was born on the 27th of February, 1976 in Torrance, California. He was raised in Southern California, and attended Huntington Beach High School where the school was where he played at the top on both basketball and football teams. Gonzalez continued to be a star in these sports at the University of California, Berkeley. He helped lead the team in football to the 1996 Aloha Bowl, where he beat the record of the school bowl with nine receptions. Gonzalez then led the basketball team to Sweet 16 in the NCAA basketball tournament a few months later. Gonzalez then went to the NFL Draft in 1997. Gonzalez was picked as the 13th overall selection by the Kansas City Chiefs. Gonzalez was with the Chiefs between 1997 and 2008. The Chiefs dealt Gonzalez to the Atlanta Falcons. He was never able to catch less than 59 passes during Gonzalez's second NFL season.
